LiteRock Fireplace
LiteRock is a lightweight fireplace system that may be installed directly on a combustible surface, typically without additional structural support. The components of the LiteRock system include a FireRock fireplace, lightweight metal chimney, and a metal riser kit to elevate the firebox off of the combustible surface.
It is important to understand that “LiteRock” is an installation method, not a completely different kind of firebox. The firebox itself is exactly the same as one used in a standard installation method. The LiteRock System is simply an installation method that allows the system to be installed onto a combustible floor.
LiteRock Elements
Manufactured and provided by FireRock, the LiteRock riser is available in 3 sizes: 30”, 36”, and 42”. This allows the LiteRock installation method to be an option for any Conventional, Rumford, or See-Thru fireboxes up to 42” inches in size. The Literock system is not approved for any sizes larger than 42”.
The LiteRock fireplace system is different from the standard installation because it does not require the 4”-6” concrete slab footing.* While the structural components, mix design, and style of the firebox itself are identical to our standard product offering, a LiteRock is paired with an 8” metal riser and a lightweight metal chimney flue. The metal flue drastically decreases the chimney weight that is typically seen with a standard masonry flue. The 8” metal riser is installed underneath the standard baseplate and provides the necessary airspace clearance from the combustible floor system to the firebox.
Vent Free Fireplace
A Vent-Free fireplace provides great atmosphere to any home, with less hassle. This gas burning fireplace does not require any chimney or ventilation, so it weighs significantly less than comparable wood burning fireplaces - while still providing a true masonry look. Due to the no chimney requirement, the Vent-Free produces less heat loss and is one of our most versatile models (can be installed in nearly any space, but requires special codes for bedrooms). The FireRock Vent Free Gas Fireplace has a zero inch clearance, so the firebox can be installed directly on a wooden or other combustible floor, making it ideal for remodeling projects.
Vent-Free Lite
The Vent-Free Lite gas fireplace is a lightweight option of our indoor Vent-Free model that also provides a straight back wall configuration. A shallower firebox allows for lighter components and easier masonic work.

Allows for a true masonry finish without a chimney

Rumford Fireplace
The Rumford design has been around for centuries and is a classic hallmark of Victorian architecture. Characterized by a straight back wall and a taller opening, the Rumford can support larger fires than other fireplace models. By incorporating a radius lintel and larger chimney opening, the FireRock Rumford offers the elegance of a Victorian fireplace without the draw problems that plagued the fireplaces of the 1800s. This style of fireplace is ideal for homes with high ceilings in order to provide a more to-scale, dramatic look. The Rumford model accommodates FireRock masonry or a UL 103 metal chimney system. A variety of firebrick patterns are available to complete your FireRock Rumford Fireplace.

B-Vent Fireplace
Our B-Vent fireplace is an efficient model that is primarily meant to be used in bedrooms (due to the safety concerns with carbon monoxide emissions). The B-Vent model offers an automated safety shut off valve - ensuring your fire does not burn too long or too hot. B-Vent fireplaces must be installed through the home and terminate above the roofline. They use room air for combustion, and all combustion fumes are vented outside your home. This model is a gas-only fireplace option which requires a special double-walled 10" metal chimney pipe (purchased separately). The customized chimney pipe allows for higher reflection similar to a dryer, and stays hotter to draw gases out more quickly. The B-Vent fireplace also requires an accessory kit which FireRock stocks, and is our only model that we stock gas logs for. This masonry fireplace model can be installed directly onto a combustible subfloor.
